What's wrong with health care in the USA? The movie Sicko reveals how we are deceived by powerful health insurance companies, drug companies, and even our own government. The movie is an incredible documentary that compares how our health care system with Canada, England, and France. It moves fast and is filled with facts that most Americans are oblivious to.
Millions of adults and children don't have insurance. One misfortune can bankrupt people and make it impossible to get the medical attention they need. Those that are lucky enough to have medical insurance are lulled into a false sense of security, thinking that insurance will take care of all their medical expenses. This simply is not true.
The medical insurance companies are in business to make a profit and they actively look for ways to deny coverage. Even if procedures are approved, it is likely that they will examine all claims under a microscope and look for ways to get their money back. Far fetched? I think not! It happened to me and it can happen to you as well.
It's more than just health care. Our present system keeps people under control. The Bush administration constantly talked about 'family values' and fighting for 'freedom' which suggests that our country is filled with free citizens. The truth of the matter is that when people are shackled with debt, they're not free to make choices.
Tony Benn, former member of the British Parliment, explained that an 'educated, healthy, and confident nation is harder to govern. People in debt feel hopeless, frightened, and demoralized. These people aren't likely to speak up and cause trouble. 'They think that perhaps the safest thing to do is take orders and hope for the best.'
Here's a clip from the movie. Michael Moore interviews Tony Benn, (former member of the British Parliment).

Brutal and breathless, Quantum Of Solace delivers tender emotions along with frenetic action. Not as good as franchise reboot Casino Royale, but still an impressive entry to the Bond canon.

Beautifully shot and well-acted, Changeling is a compelling story that unfortunately gives in to convention too often.
